Can someone who's been to their highschool graduation ceremony give me the rundown?

I thought I wanted to go to my highschool graduation but then realised maybe it’s just a waste of time, so I wanna know people’s thoughts and opinions on their graduation.

Definitely go to it. It’s just an afternoon, and if you don’t go you may regret it. I didn’t have a high school graduation, but I do think it would have been pretty cool to have one. It’s like sealing the end of an era! Haha. Don’t worry about embarrassing yourself, just don’t do what Lizzie McGuire did :L

Well I didn’t go to mine and I don’t really regret it. It was just a ritual I didn’t feel was important. If you’re just sort of indifferent towards it, you might want to go. There’s a possibility you’ll do that whole “what if” thing and that’s never good.

you file into the gym or outside. sit and listen. get up and get your diploma. sit back down. listen more. proceed outside. take pictures (maybe?). go home. go to college.

Almost the same as other graduation. When I got my diploma graduation day, all I do is sitting down, listening to some speeches, waiting to be called, walking toward the dean, given the “fake” certificate, shaking hands, smiling, walking back to my seat, starting to yawn until it was over.

Not if you don’t have a lot of friends or family. During it, it’s basically like everyone’s told you but afterwards, your friends are probably going to wand to take pictures. You should really go. I’ve heard of people skipping the prom and I thought that was something to regret but the ceremony definitely needs to be something you experience.
