What will happen to my baby if I go to court?

I am in a very stressful situation and need some help, I’m 14 years old pregnant and living in a terrible environment, I know there are no emancipation laws in ohio, but I read that if you’re pregnant they can take you out of your household, I’m not sure how to go about the situation, and if I do go to the courts what will happen to my baby?

Answer #1

okay, adoption isn’t an option, I have a job and so does my boyfriend, we’re capable of getting our own place but my mom won’t let me leave.

I’m aware of the options, but if I go to court I’m afraid they’ll try to take him away from me.

Your only 14??!! YOU NEED TO GET HELP! I think you know that but fast because you dont need to stress or else your baby will stress and they could have like mental problems when they are born. What about the father?? Do his parents mind you living with them?? Whatever you have to do to relax and get help…

do you want to keep your baby? if you do you should have it secratly then put it up for adoption or give it to the police they will take care of it

Answer #6

I think your state probably has a Child Protection Services (or some other child welfare agency), so you should contact them.

Answer #7

How old is your boyfriend? If he is 18 and you two want to get married, that might solve your problems.

I think you need to consider adoption as your best option. Honestly you will not be able to offer a life for the child that it deserves. Then I think you need to seriously consider your situation. What is happening in your life that you are getting pregnant at 14? My guess iscyou don’t have the best relationship with your father. You should look at getting help.
