What would cause the headlights on my car to dim in and out?

Probably the alternator, battery or maybe you have a short somewhere, also check the fuses, some auto parts check for free.

This just happened to us, and it was the alternator … try finding a good price on alternators for a discontinued model :/

Or if their is a good auto-electrical repair shot in town you can often get it rebuilt for fairly cheap.

Well found out the problem, was a short in the battery connection
