It’s an African American holiday that’s celebrated for a week from the end of December to the 1st of January.
soooo, merry kwanza or happy? like if you went up to someone who celebrates it would you say “hey, merry kwanza!” or the other way?
I think you can say either.
“Happy” is more commonly used. Careful, people get offended, if you dont KNOW that they celebrate it, it is better not to say anything. I black chick got really offended once when a teacher said “Happy Kwanza” to her an she doesnt celebrate it, she celebrates christmas. I thought it was funny as f*ck, though. :D
