Answer #1

you donmt need to for getting bit by a hamster, but you should have one just for everyday life…cuts, scratches, ect…you never know what you may come across..if you already have had one in the past, you dont need one everytime you get bit by a hamster, but if you havent already had one, I would recommend it. They are good I believe for 7 years.

Answer #2

your hamster can get a (rabies) shot then next time you will be ok!

Answer #3

..but hamsters may also carry rabies. Not usual, but any mammal can carry rabies. And they usually turn aggressive with the disease. I’d talk with the doctor, if I were you. (By the way, the size of the hamster isn’t important.)

Answer #4

Nah, my sister has been bitten loads of times and she never has, if you are really concerned you could always call up a vet or something.

Good Luck!

Answer #5

Just don’t let it get infected.

And if you haven’t had a tetanus shot in the past 7 years, it wouldn’t be a bad idea. Feces is a carrier of tetanus.

Answer #6

Those suckers can bite. :) Just put peroxide on it, and maybe Neosporin. Like they said, if you haven’t had a shot in the past 7 years, you might want to.. I used to breed hamsters and they bit me all the time… I didn’t have a tetanus shot and I’m still alive and kickin.
