To me, my little girl has a VERY fast metabolism and she's constantly hungry. The doctor said that it's normal but I don't think so. When she says "eat-eat" I try to give her fruit & vegetables but she mostly says "meat!" Is she being greedy or what & I don't want her to become too overweight!
im the same way!! instead of large meals, give her a substantial snack every 3 hours. she craves protein, as do I, so give her apples and cheese, bagels and cream cheese and beans or tuna or chicken. it means she gets low bloodsugar, and MUST eat healthy foods at least every few hours. carbs rule in taking care of hunger too.
ok what I wud do is feed her a meal. if she sill says "eat, eat" then tell her to wait 15 minutes and if she is still hungry then give her a little more. I was like her when I was younger and after waitng 15 minutes after a meal I was always full. still feed her fruits and veggies but dont worry too much about her weightt.
If she has a fast metabolism it is unlikely she's going to become fat... If the doctor has checked her out and she's not sick (she doesnt have worms for example) then I dont see what the problem is... Kids are growing, they need food... Is she overweight for her age group?
Let the doctor know your concerns, and also let him know if there is any history he should know. And then follow his advice. And that's my advice. Good Luck!!
she's not skinny & she's not fat. Thick I guess, but she has potential!!!
