Are ferrets a good pet?

They smeel like ass unless you constantly clean their cages, they’re not intelligent, their cages are pretty hard and messy to clean, and they eat like pigs. The only good thing about them is they’re cute. If you’re a lazy person ferrets are the wrong kind of pet.

Ferrets can be good pets but they need alot of attention and care. They arent the best smelling animals either, you can have their stink glands removed but i personally dont feel thats right. They are very mischieveous as well and if they get out of their cages they love to hide and burrow in places. We spent days searching for one of ours before. I wouldnt have one around children just for safety reasons since young kids tend to be rough with animals and ferrets can bite and hurt. There have been cases of ferret attacks on young children, however the most they could do to an adult is some cuts and scratches.

Ferrets can be wonderful pets. There smart, funny and playful. Outside there cage they can get alone well with other animals. They love shiny things and will steal anything smaller then they are. Normally they hide them under a bed. They can be fairly easly trained to ride around in a large pocket or pouch. They are very messy tho and you do have to clean there cages a lot. Girls do not smell as bad as guys. If you bath them and clean there cage how ever you can keep there odors unnoticeable. They can eat a lot but you have to control there eating or they will get fat and lazy. This is unhealthy. They can be noisy because they love bells and the like.

My brothers 2 ferrets were the cutest and sweetest things ever. They would drag off his shoes almost every day. Witch I found funny.

In general they can be a pain to train, if you have little free time there not the best idea for you. You have to take training them slow, it takes weeks if not months. Most start of very skittish and aggressive but can be calmed over time. To the point there safe for even little kids. My 3 year old cosine would carry around one of my brothers all day and it would not even fuss. One of my best friends had 3 and they were all really good with people as well. She brought them into school one day with her and they were bouncy and happy to see every one looking and playing with them.

Mostly yes. But they also can stink extremely bad. They are trained quite easily trained and are usually nice family pets

my mom had ferrets and she said they smells so you would have to clean the cage a lot so if ur lazy u should get a differernt pet

I had two ferrets a few years ago. I kept them for a few months, then sold them. They’re annoying, they bite, they smell so terrible. I don’t like them.

ha, i LOVE my ferret, Cosmo.,,,,,but he is a PILL to take care of. they are smelly, fairly high maintnence creatures. but they are fun

ferrets are wonderful pets i wouldnt trade my baby for anything in the world,but they do stink very bad,and before you get one you must ferret proof ur house

my roommate just got a ferret about two weeks ago. the ferret itself does smell bad, but it doesnt stink up the whole house or anything like that. just gotta give the ferret a bath at least once a month. we do once a week just so she’s soft. haha.
