What does it feel like to be a teenager in 2010 for you?

Being a teenager in 2010 is absolutely horrible, noone accepts me, everyone wants to fit in, theres not individuality anymore, everyone is so caught up with themselves to even think about anyone else, to be normal you have to be “cool”, hip, popular, have a perfect family, have money & you just cant be yourself, we’ve all become clones of each other.

Thats probably a run-on sentence :P

for me its boring.. i was planning my whole life for my 19 birthday and now its here its my worse year ever….i moved to a different country and i have nooo friends at all …its a whole new environment than what i am use to……..they do everything different here……and it annnoys the hell out of meee………i really wanna goo

I love it but i seriously hate it. There are ups and downs for almost everything. Ex: Internet is an easy and fun way to connect. But, we often depend on it waay too much. I have lots of fun with my friends but I feel like when I’m around other people I have to fit in. I honestly have no idea how I feel about it…neutral I guess ://

For me, being a teen is ok, but everyone judges me on my hair, and this one kid even said to me: “I’m going to post on Facebook” ‘Whoever hates gingers, Like this.’” It made me want to cry. Anyway, I guess they technology is cool, but it confuses me so much sometimes.

Life as a teenager is so complicated. You don’t know what to do, you always feel traped, like you can’t escape. You can’t trust anyone because your afraid what they’re gonna do to you. In this day and age it’s all about power and how everyone wants to steal it from you. You wanna tell someone how you feel, how you feel like your being tested every minute like there is no point in even trying anymore, like you wanna hurt yourself and cry because you feel like it can help, that you have tyo be perfect so everyone excepts you. You parents wont understand no one does. Maybe one day when I can actually say I am happy this nightmare can be over, for real.

I feel amazing but what is so special about being a teen in 2010 i mean it feels great in any year.

its very cool. theres a ton of stuff 2 do with friends. but if ur unpopular life sucks because american culture is all about gossip. also its hard to keep from being overexposed. especially if u have perverted friends like i do! LOL

a girl in my class called me anti-social because I avoided talk to to her.

Well glad to see being a teenager didn’t get any easier in the last 4 or 5 years. Wouldn’t want you guys to get it easy.

Being a teenager in 2010 sucks.The clothes are terrible and too exspensive.You try and fit in but nobody will accept you for who you are.They will watch your every move,judge you for that,and watch your instincts they will judge you as different maybe.And the talk behind your back.The talk out of everyones mouths(not about you) in the hallways is gross.Like i hear V@GINA or P3N!S alot.Like wtf.thats pretty nasty.They all think it’s funny.

Aww that must stink.Judge him right back and see how he likes it.
