You can go to Social Services for relief. They can also provider referrals to agencies like Salvation Army and community service centers. I would also call a local church.

If you can work graveyard shift if mom’s in the picture I guess. Take turns working so you don’t need a babysitter. I guess Fionanance doesn’t understand the American term bills to pay. Fionanance: it means his wages aren’t enough to handle the household bills to pay.
