Euros can I spend them in Germany?

Last year I had some euros left over from my holiday in france, this year I am going to germany, can I use the euros from france or not, are they the same, will German shops accept them??? Anyone know??? Thanks, Becz x

You can use them anywhere in the Eurozone. They don’t expire (lol). The Eurozone is France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Finland, Greece, Malta, Luxembourg, Portugal and Slovenia.

That does leave 12 other countries in the European Union, which don’t want Euros yet or who haven’t qualified yet. That includes the UK, as you know, but also Denmark, Sweden, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. Slovakia is expected to join in 2009.

The different countries make their own euros with their own snazzy pictures on, but each one can be used in any other eurozone country, just the same. I like the Irish ones best, I think.

yeah you can use euros in really any part of europe (even those that arent in the EU use euros) euros were created for exactly this purpose (thats why britain doesnt want them)

Yes! Germany is Part of the EU, and thus, they use Euros. :)
