Why do you have to eat more to lose weight?

Answer #1

The key to losing weight isn’t eating more. You eat more frequently, but your meals are meant to be smaller than normal, healthier, and you’re supposed to include healthy snacks in between. By doing that you keep your metabolism going at a good rate, and you avoid unnecessary overeating that does happen when you feel extremely hungry.

I started going to the gym and have a trainer and he says that the next couple weeks I’m going to feel super stuffed cause I need to eat 6 times a day and going to increase my calorie intake. That’s why I was a little concerned cause your not suppose to eat till your stuffed…

Answer #4

If you stop eating or dramatically cut down your food intake, your metabolism thinks you are starving and switches to conserve the fat you currently have stored and will burn food taken in along with mussel. A good way to lose weight is to only eat when you are hungry, eat healthy foods, and do not eat till your full. eat slowly, chew well and stop after about 5 minutes, even if you have ½ your meal left. You will learn to eat more often, but eat less at a time and you will eat less overall. It will also help to drink a glass of water 5 minutes before eating, it will give you a full feeling sooner and water does not have carbs, fat, or calories in it

Answer #5

because the body works like a car….you need food to drive you for the day……..and you need fuel to be healthy

Answer #6

The human body works best by snacking all day long actually. The standard 3 meals a day are not the best option for a person because your body still goes into a bit of that starvation mode between meals. Hence the recommendation for eating 6 times a day. And you may end of feeling stuff or starving depending on your system, and a lot of it can be physiological. Most people are used to eating at a certain time and if you start screwing with that your brain is saying “we usually don’t eat here, you should be full” when you actually aren’t.

Answer #7

no you’re not suppose to eat till you’re stuffed, gosh that’ll just make you puke. having small meals spread out and taken evenly throughout the day is much more ideal - it’s to keep you’re metabolism running since you’re continuously fueling your body, your body is working to burn what you’re eating. the more you exercise and build muscle the more easily it’ll become for you to burn fat!

Answer #8

Well it’s not really eating more, just more times and smaller portions. Like you can eat six times a day, but not the same that you would eat at meal time when you eat 3 times a day. Eating healthier is also something you need to know, even if you don’t do the whole 6 meal thing, when you snack and stuff make sure that it’s a good choice as well as what you eat at meal time, also the portions need to be measured properly.

Answer #9

because when you dont eat body stores fat. that doesnt mean you have to eat alot tho. but drink plenty of water

Answer #10

That’s a bit strange.I eat more to gain weight. The exact same way mentioned.Small frequent healthy meals. But I think the main difference is the way I train.I train to put on mass so that works for me too.But if you did the same exact thing but trained to lose weight then it would be the exact opposite.Either way eating small frequent healthy meals is better than the usual three times a day meals.

Answer #11

just go work out
