Can the back of an earring get stuck in your ear?

hi, I was in skwl the other day and I over heard a girl in a younger year say that the bk of her earing had gone in her ear. is that possible? and how?

yes, your ear can swalloe the backing of an earring its actually pretty common usually its because the backing was too small or because the peircing is infected and the hole isnt healing properly and it swallows up the jewelrey usually though it can be taken out with a pair of tweezers by someone else

I’ve never heard of the back of an earing go into the ear, but from the stories above I say its possible lol x

I’ve never heard of an earring backing go “into” an ear - the hole is too small for that. However, I have heard of the skin healing over the backing.

It’s uncommon, but if you aren’t taking proper care of your earrings (cleaning them and twisting them regularly) you can run into problems.

its possible, my friend had one of those little earrings, like a little stud sort of thing, and that went into her hole, since it was the front that was in, she just pushed it out from the back, how is it possible, that im not really sure, she probably just rubbed her ear or something and when she did it pushed it in
