Driving at 15?

Ok I really need transportation so I can go to school and get a job. It’s impossibe for my mom to drive me anywhere b/c…she just won’t. So is there a way I can get my license early? Or even possibly my permit. I really need some help

It depends on the state, but I believe that in every state you must be 16 or over. Be sure to get your Learner’s License/Permit early. In Florida, you must hold a Learner’s License for AT LEAST 1 year before you can get a normal license.

I GOT MY LISCENCE AT 16 AND IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. I HAD A REALLY BAD CAR ACCIDENT AND LOST MOST OF MY HEARING because OF HEAD INJURY. I WEAR A HEARING AID AND LEARNED TO LIP READ PRETTY WELL BUT STILL I MISSED a lot OF MY TEEN YEARS because I FELT LEFT OUT BY NOT BEING ABLE TO HEAR. YOUR REALLY YOUNG AND HAVE YOU WHOLE LIFE AHEAD OF YOU SO TRY TO RIDE WITH FRIENDS OR TAKE THE BUS… REALLY IT THE MOST SAFE WAY TO GET AROUND HOUSTON AND ITS CHEEPER THAN A CAR. I ALSO RIDE A BIKE because ITS GOOD EXERCISE AND FUN TOO. THIS HAPPENED WHEN I WAS 16 AND IM NOW 55 YEARS OLD, SO I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE.

I WATCH SMACKDOWN EVERY FRIDAY, BUT ITS BEST IN PERSON IF you CAN GO TO A LIVE MATCH. BUY A SEAT CHEAP THEN GO SIT UP FRONT FOR A GOOD VIEW. HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU WRITE ME

I am 15 also. neither of my parents have the time to give me rides for school or work. you cant get your license early. you can get your permit but you have to have a parent with you to drive. quite annoying isnt it? all there is to do is ride the school bus and for everything else you just have to wait. im lucky in the sense I was given a small sum of allowance every week until I was 10 and saved all my birthday/xmas money. everything I have earned I have saved. now, I amazingly have about $3,000 from just that. its a slight springboard. my grandparents are going to let me drive one of their old cars (permitting it doesnt break down on me) for a while until I buy my own car. keep in mind what you want is usually too much money. a cheap older car with a few cylinders to start is good. in case you get in an early unsuspecting bumper wreck at school parking lots. also fewer cylinders means less gas. saving a little gas would help us all. if you are an impatient person, I know I am, get someone to give you a ride to work. apply somewhere a friend works and get a ride with them when you can. good luck.

If you live in New Zealand, you can get all your licenses at 15. At 15 and a half you can have full truck licenses all classes. At 16 and a half you can have full car and motorcycle licenses. So come here to NZ!

Answer #5

IF you live in Texas you can get a permit when you are 15 AFTER you complete a driver’s course.
I got my learner’s permit in Pennsylvania, and we got the permit the 1st day of the behind-the-wheel part of the course. We had already done the classroom part. I remember that a few students already had their permits BEFORE the road part started.

I hope this helped. Good Luck!!

Try carpooling. Ask around and post adds around the neighborhood, school and work looking for people who drive that way when you need to go there. If not try cycling, it’s a great way to get to and from places. And last but not least, you can also try riding a small motorized vehicle that doesn’t need a license (ex.: tractor, or motorized skate board or bicycle) Good luck!

No, you have to be 16 to drive - it’s the law, sorry.

Is there no public transit (bus) where you are?
