It gives them time to make up their mind. ;P "Is this the spot, is this the spot!?" must be what's going through their doggie minds. lol They do that a lot before they lay down too. ;P Some times they will run around like crazy in a circle and then stop and look at me and look around for another spot. ;P Also they might run around in a few circles then stop and dig before they lay down. ;P :D
I reckon they are sussing out an exit point if the situation arises,if they can turn a circle then numerous options are available....It is a natural pre-chilling avent to work out what you can do if you must run.
I have never even owned a dog so what do i know?
ie: checking for cacti, snakes, or other harmful things on the ground, to which they are about to face their doggy asses.
Mark the territory? Idk, make sure the ground is appropriate?
