How can I stop my puppy from chewing on wood?
I have a 7 month old english bulldog, and he chews on wood. I have wood steps off the back of my house, a wooden swingset, and a wooden hot tub. He really likes the steps and I could deal with that. Now he has started on the swingset and the hot tub. He doesn’t chew on anything else except wood. Does anyone have any advice? Please
OO>..I know that can be very frustrating. Maybe he is just still in his teething stage and just NEEDS something to chew on. If you could keep a lot of chew toys around, some of them being made of wood, maybe even just a few blocks of wood sitting around, he would choose those instead of your high dollar stuff. Good luck. I don’t know the implications of dogs chewing on wood or if it does anything bad to their digestive tract, but you might want to look into that first.
Smear tobasco sauce on the wood. He won’t think its so fun next time.
