Why did they discontinue making gamecube games ?

Just like everything else, it goes away for newer stuff.

They weren’t selling. The gamecube was part of the old generation of systems. The current generation consists of the PS3, Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii. The Wii basically replaced the Gamecube. You should still be able to find old games at Gamestop and places like it, though (for really cheap).

Many of the new games that are produced cannot be used by a Gamecube, because it can no longer support such good graphics and memory space.
