Democrats are they against freedom

Sometimes democrats work for the equil rights of people but at the same time they try to censor speech and have laws like hate speech. They also have laws that punish people who speak the opposite in opinion on issues. I’ve seen that lots of confederate statues have been taken down do to someones misperception of their beliefs and also assumption the confederates are racist. I mean even if in your opinion someones racist shouldnt people respect the rights of other people and just show their opposing view instead of stripping that person of his rights
