Credit help

I’m 18 and I want to get a $4,000 loan. I dont have bad credit, but I have no credit. Im about to get a job so I could pay it back in no time. Is this possible since I have no credit?

Answer #1

I’m not the most experienced person on taking out loans, but my friend has taken out a £9,000 loan and it will take him a long time to pay it back. He is only 19 as well! He keeps asking us as his friends to help him out, but we haven’t got the money ourselves! He borrowed the money, because he crashed his car and he also wanted to decorate it.

Is this loan that important to you? And what is it for?

To be honest with you, I’d avoid trying to take a loan out. But if you need it, I’d follow someone else’s advice above.

Hope I helped

Your best bet is to go to your bank, if you have one (if not go open an account) and put whatever money you have in there. Once you save up enough, get a secured credit card (that is where you use the money you already have not exactly like a debit, more like a gift card.) this can help you build credit. Loans are difficult to get without credit unless you have a job and/or a cosigner with good credit. If you have a good relationship with your mom or dad and if they have good credit and trust you, then they can add you as an authorized user on one or two of their credit cards. You won’t be responsible for paying on it, just using it. But don’t use it, it is just to establish your credit. Once you are an authorized user, it will start a credit profile for you and their good payments will show up on your credit report. This can help you start a credit profile. However, be careful. In this country EVERYTHING is affected by your credit. If you have bad credit you may not be able to get any more credit (house, credit cards, loans, car, motorcycle, cell phone) it can also make you pay more for car insurance and pay higher deposits on cable boxes, rent, and so on. It takes very little to have your credit ruined and a LONG time to fix it. So my advise is a secured credit card and have your dad add you as an authorised user. Then once you get a checking account and a job, you can start building your credit. Another thing is you can work at a department store and apply for one of their cards. They usually have very high rates but it can help. Another trick is to never go above 50% of the credit limit. So if you get a card with a limit of $500 don’t ever go over $250. This can help give you a higher score. And ALWAYS pay your bills on time.

Hope this helps! By the way I used to be in the credit business.

I seriously doubt you can get a $4000 loan without a job. Why do you want a $4000 loan? Don’t make the mistakes I have with credit…

Answer #4

credit wont build it self. dont be a fool? dude you dont even know me, I know you;re trying to help but you dont know if I would pay it off on time every month or not. which I would. im not going to mess up my future over something as little as paying my bills on time. if I somehow couldnt, my dad would pay them, ofcourse id pay him back but he’d help me if I couldnt, which I can:D

Credit will build itself. Don’t be a fool

Answer #6

Why don’t you get a job, save up, and then pay for it in cash? You will thank us later.

Answer #7

No. In our country, you can’t loan unless you have job and a bank account.
