leather face is NOT real…he was based off of a man named ed gein who killed woman and would did up freshly buried corpses (all woman), skin them, and make suits and other things out of their bones…when police raided his house they found bowls made out of human skulls and a table made out of human leg bones…in his barn was a woman hung up and split clean in half…he commited most of his acts in the 1940’s…he died in 1984,he was 78…I learned about him in my psychology class…if you wanna know more just google him..he is also the basis for the character of norman bates in psycho,and james gumb(buffalo bill) from silence of the lambs
