Did anyone check out the "super moon" last night? (read more)

May 5, was the 2012 super full moon. The moon was making it’s closest pass near the earth of the year. It was quite bright and looked really big.

Had a nice yellow hue where i am. Quite beautiful to behold. But not as cool as last years meteor showers

I thought it was really beautiful, I gazed at it for a while last night and I was thinking about how amazing it would be to be on the moon looking at the Earth:)

Would’nt that be nice? I forgot to mention in my question that depending on where you are, a certain time applied to when it was the closest. For me it was 11:30 pm.

I think for me it was 3am, but I’m definitely not sure on that one…

it was up high when i saw it but still looked as big as it usually only does when its down low to the horizon and it was a lot brighter then that too!

i wanted to, but you couldnt even see the moon -_- it was soo cloudy !
