Hi,

Unless you are 18 (or the legal age of majority in your state), you cannot leave home unless you become emancipated. Emancipation is a legal term basically meaning you’ve divorced your parents. You must fill out forms, file them in court, and state your case to a judge. If emancipated, you may move out at any age, but can no longer rely on your parents for financial or housing support.

Good luck.
