What are cables and conductors and their difference?

pls guys help me with the difference between cable and conductor, it should be base electrical engineering. Pls i need it now cos im going to submit it tomorrow.

Well off the top of my head, the word cable can have a dual meaning depending on what it’s used for and made of. For example a steel cable used to support a bridge is not going to be called a conductor, however a large phone cable buried underground is most definatley a conductor. Conductors used for electrical and communications wiring are commonly made of copper, aluminum and other metals that are good conductors of electricity and communication signals. It’s all wire but in large applications it’s usually called cable. Hope this points you in the right direction

a conductor is any material that can carry electric current, conductors are often refereed to as cables when they are made up of many strands of wire. an example would be the stranded copper wire in SO cord.
