Is there any way I can get my bunny to be less skittish?

my bunny is skiddish and doesnt like being held and claws/bites alot. I’ve had her since she was weeks and have no idea why shes like this. I hold her everynight and make sure her legs arent hanging. Is there any way i can get her to stop being like this?

ummm You can try feeding her things like carrots out of your hand to build trust, maybe get her out of the house and let her hop around the back yard (if it’s fenced in) or get a little bunny leash (yes they have them)

Answer #2

feed it by hand

Most bunnies don’t like being held. They like being close to the floor. When they’re held, they get defensive. My bunny doesn’t like being held either & he gets scared. What you can do is put her in a room. Bathrooms work well. & put her some toys on the floor and a box with a few holes in it so she can play. She should eventually come over to you and crawl onto your lap. That’s what I’ve been doing with my bunny. :) I give him treats when he comes close to me. Now when I go to pet him, he just sits there. He still doesn’t like being picked up though. Some bunnies will never like being picked up, no matter how much you try to get them to. It’s best to just leave them on the floor if that’s what they prefer. :) Good luck!
