the course that was at my college, it was called African and African American studies. they use the book, “testament of hope : essential writings. now idk if that is what you are looking for but i thot it could help your search.

to be honest im not sure, i never took the course, but im assuming it has history of the key african americans in history, like MLK. im not too sure on what is in the book exactly.
