Can one have a serious bladder infection in less than 12 hours?

Answer #1

Absolutely….a UTI can come on quite suddenly.

Answer #2

As already stated, Yes. Maybe posting why you ask is a good idea ?

Obviously visiting a Doctor, or Emergency ward at hospital is an urgent consideration if you feel unwell.

Answer #3

Yeah. As the previous two answers have said, they can come on very quickly and suddenly. I am not sure if you have a bladder infection seeing as though you provided very little information in your question… but assuming you have…

I suggest you drink a lot of water to flush out your system (sometimes this can be enough to get rid of the infection if it is quite minor). Lots of people also swear by Cranberry Juice. You can also purchase over-the-counter medication, though these often prove to be uneffective, or only provide temporary relief.

Your best bet would be to go to the doctors and get some antibiotics, because if it is left untreated it can turn reaaaally nasty. Hope you feel better soon (that’s if you have it)!

Answer #4

Yes, it can come on in a few hours. I once went from nothing to bleeding in two hours. See your doctor for anti-biotics ASAP.

Answer #5

Yep, and it can ascend to the kidneys if you leave it untreated, so get to your doc pronto.
