It depends. If you have been coughing a lot, you may have just burst a capilary. If you are coughing up mucus and its streaked with a bit of blood, its probably nothing to worry about. If there is a lot of it, or if there are droplets of blood in the mucus it may be more serious. If you are at all concerned, you should see a doctor, they tend to take coughing up blood pretty seriously, and would most likely give you a chest x-ray.

well it definitely can't be good, is it a lot of blood??? you should tell your parents or go to the Emergency Room, if its alarming you in the least bit.
Eh, if it aint alot of blood,I do it all the time, due to my sever allergies. But if it is a lot of blood then it is probably an illness...
