What berries should I feed a baby robin?

What berries should I feed a baby robin

Answer #1

I would recommend mashed up insects, after all the parents of the baby bird do not have much access to baked goods, bread will be fine for a start- but mashed up bugs fed through and eyedropper would work better.

Answer #2

no berries. its too big for the stomach. try bread. moist bread.

Answer #3

If does indeed need berries & fruit. You need to cut it into very small strips….I used scissors to cut the pieces very thin. Also feed the baby wax worms & earthworms. If it has feathers & is hopping around….it will eat 3-4 worms at a time (cut the earthworms into 2-3 inch pieces)…..it will eat the wax worms whole. You can feed it mill worms….but wax worms are softer. It will eat several pieces of fruit at a time also. I rotated between worms & fruit/berries. They need to eat every 10-30 min during the day….it will sleep from sundown to sunup. After a week it should start eating on its own also. Do a google search on how to take care of baby robins…..I did & I successfully raised the baby bird.
