Because one of our senses is taken away. If, suddenly, you couldn't hear anything you'd be scared then as well, right?! Seeing is very important to us humans, it's probably one of the most important senses and with it taken away, we start to panic which then causes us to imagine things that aren't there. The middle of the night is the most popular time for the scary scenes in horror movies. If you think about it, everything scary has something to do with the dark. It's just because we can't see to defend ourselves!
its the fear of the unknown. and a lot of humans dont like the dark because they obviously cant see anything in it, they wouldnt be able to defend themselves properly. horror movies play on this fear, obviously if you were walking alone in the night unable to see youd be scred if you saw another person or thing, because you dont know what its ging to do you, and you cant see exactly were it is
well, the creepy music that we hear from movie allow us to imagine what is like to be in the dark. it could be the wind or the rain, not nesarilly music. i'm pretty sure every horror flick with out sound would be unscared of.
Basically people are afraid of being blind. And being in the dark is almost in the same position of that being blind. If not, then there must be related to horror things. :)
I understand that you cant see, is it the fear within our nature that we cant see....or is instinct brought upon by the ghostly illusions that we perceive from the media...
Your mind plays tricks on you and makes you think things are there when they're really not. I'm not afraid of the dark though, it's exciting to me lol
Yes, I can not imagine being in a unfamiliar dark place and suddenly a cold hand taps my shoulder. I could be dead instantly LOL
Just becaue it's scary. You can't see anathing, and you don't know what can happen. It's creapy :/
You cant see where your going or what is there! It is the unknown that is what worries.
a little 'bit of both... coming from someone who is afraid of the dark. :)
probably the images that are projected from horror films....
I guess. In horror films there is a lot of the unknown.
would that have to do with anything about horror flicks
Darkness is where the nightmares hide....
Too much bed time horrors

u sure about that
Cuz u can't see
I say both to
