Yes, this is the current thing in the news but BoA has been guilty of a lot of other shenanigans as well. I closed all of my BoA accounts including my investments at Merrill Lynch earlier this year. Now I use my credit union for everything. The only drawback is my CU’s online bill pay isn’t as good as BoA and of course the CU doesn’t have ATM’s within spitting distance everywhere but I save money on fees and feel much better about where my money is.
