Are there any in Congress ?

Are there any in Congress presently that advocate governmental ownership, administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and desire a system in which there is no private property ?

Answer #1

yes as spamman said, thats communism, and our democratic, though in my opinion with bush in office more like fasciest, government has a history of being opposed to communism.

Answer #2

I dont know about anybody in Congress but the trend seems to have the possibility to be leaning that way. The 50 and 60 year mortgages are an example. You have next to no equity in your home for the first 40 years or so. And if you get one of these mortgages when you are 30 or 40 there is a good chance you will never make the final payment. Another example is the “reverse mortgage”, where the bank or investor buys back your house with predetermined monthly payments. If it is true that banks dont really want to foreclose on homebuyers, why are they interested in these. With the cost of homes and taxes sky rocketing I could see a time when your mortgage is a ‘lease’ .

Answer #3

Not that I know of. Seems like it would be pretty hard to get elected on a utopian communist platform.
