What animal would symbolize/represent the actual word 'dream'?

Im going to be getting my first tattoo soon, and originally I was going to get the word ‘Dream’ in a japanese symbol. I felt like thats just to original, and my sister mentioned that I should look into what kind of animals represent that word. I tried looking and my own luck was a bear, but i looked on some other sights about the bear and its information didnt include the dream aspect. What aniaml do you think represents dream, or dreaming. Help :c

Answer #1

Id say a unicorn but a white horse is good too

Answer #2

Native American culture is big on animal symbolism. The lizard promotes dreaming. But I have not seen any animal that “means” dream. This site has some info: whats-your-sign[dot]com/animals-in-dreams[dot]html

Sheep! You know, like counting sheep to fall asleep into dream land! lol.

Seriously though here’s some ideas that come to mind (im going to give some non-animal symbol ideas though because i dont feel any animal could represent dream and have people understand the tattoo).

Dream Catcher (native american origins and they are so pretty). Shooting stars. Moon with a face thats sleeping and a night cap on. Sandman. Teddy Bear. Sleep mask with the word dream written on it.

You could also just get the word “Dream” tattooed on you in a pretty style of writing.

probably a cat because they’re always sleeping

Hmm. Dunno about animals.

But the name/word “Aisling” (pronounced “ASH-LING”) Is Irish for dream. I think it’s a lovely name and word . One of my friends is called ailing and I’m so jealous that it’s not my name .

So you could get that tattooed . I think it would be better than in chimeras cause everyone has things written in Chinese. They’re getting a bit old and overused. I think a good ol’ Irish tattoo would do good :)

Answer #6

Okay my spell correction thing got a few words wrong. Hah

Ailing = *Aisling

Chimeras = Chinese

And then I also made some mistakes. When I said Chinese I meant Japanese . Hah I get mixed up with my Ese’s
