Am I really gay?

It is early to say anything.

I struggled with my sexuality for a long long time, I think eventually you will just know, because you kind of have to find out in order to be happyand progress in life. BUT! also, keep your mind open, theres no reason that you have to label yourself as gay, or label yourself as straight, you could always come to terms with the fact that you may like certain people, but its not all about gender.

What im saying is this, it is really hard in the beginning, for me it was strange because I was always being teased about being a ‘fag’ or a ‘homo’ because of my femine looks and the fact I draw and have longish hair, instep of having a buzz cut and playing football, but I just shrugged it off, and then when I hit my teens and started to think about my sexuality. I realized that I WAS actually gay.

I held it in for around three years, and that was horrible for me.

but because my perants and friends already sort of figured I was gay, when I came out they were all just like ‘I know’ so, the people around me sorta worked it out before me.

Depending on your situation, there are different ways of finding out if your really gay if you really do want to know, my advise would be to just let your life progress and see what comes at you, be open towards dating both guys and girls and soon enough you’ll know what your sexuality is. The other options are Porn, Experimenting (which can seriously hurt people if your not open about it) and well…ehh…hired help? (which I do not recommend)

Whatever makes you happy. Go for it.

Im sorry if you feel as if its bad to be gay, or you dont want to accept that you like other guys, but trust me, when you come to terms with it, suddenly life is a whole lot more simple and enjoyable.

Being gay doesnt make you a different person, it just changes your outlook on things.

From what you’ve said, it really does seem that you are gay or atleast bi-sexual, some people hide it all their lives and it makes the miserable, drives them crazy.

Just be with who you love/like (love is slightly too serious seeing as I dont know what age you are) and do what you want, anyone that holds you back or doesnt accept you doesnt deserve to be around you.

That been said, people do have the right to disagree, but no one has the right to try and change who you are.

That and just remember that your family and friends probably wont react as harshly as you think.

I come from a christian family, catholic to be more precise, so I thought I would be disowned when I came out.

I honestly expected to get kicked out, I had already arranged to stay with my boyfriend at that time, but instead my step dad just left my mum (cause he didnt want to be with someone that accepted her only son was a homosexual, which is fine cause I never liked him anyway ^-^) and I got a shit load of scarves for christmas from then on :) plus occasional harrassment, but that dulls down.

Probably. I’m gay, 13 too.

Basically, I used to like girls, but not much. I’ve always liked guys but just recently realized I’m gay. I’m still in the closet and all, but you can usually tell you’re gay. You say you have urges for men and have dreams about them. And you think of girls as friends. If you like guys more than girls, you’re probably gay.
