Am I ready?

Alright Im almost 16 and Have been in a relatsionship for about a year. I kind of just want some advice on this. My boyfriend and I are thinking about sex we have it all worked out I’m currently on the pill were using condoms. I know I am ready but do you all think I should make this commitment at this point in my life.

Just a p.s I’m not being forced into this.

We can’t make that decision for you…all I can say is don’t be in such a hurry to grow up…you have your whole life ahead of you.

Well yes we were planning on waiting until I reached the age of consent. I forgot to mention that.

Firstly your not 16 until April according to your profile therfore it would be illegal. A few months waiting wouldn’t harm. 1 year is a long time- well done. You’ve both already proved your commited to one another by being together for so long- sex doesn’t have to proove that.

Well thats good. If you are then I dont see anything wrong with it- offcourse it’s your life and only you can make these decisions but you seem like you know all about contraception so just be safe! If you want anymore advice on contraception funmail me :) good luck x

I agree with all the above and you seem mature enough for it. but if you are having doubts wait a while still and make 100% sure that you are ready for it.
