What can I do to alleviate some of the pain in my wrists?

Im a receptionist so i work at a computer all day. I think due to repitition im getting some RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) in my wrists. Does anyone have any tips to ease some of it?

I know your pain very well, having a job that requires a lot of typing and mouse-clicking, myself.

I find it helpful if, at least once an hour, you stop and do some stretches. Put your hand in an upright position (as though you’re signalling someone to “stop”), and with the other hand, pull back on the fingers until you feel the stretch … hold it for about 5 seconds.

You can also go to your pharmacy and get a carpal tunnel wrist band … it helps keep your wrist in a position that reduces stress.

oh thanks i’ll try those exercises and see how that goes :)

Answer #3

i use wrist supports when im on a long gaming session, they do work ;)

you just need the ones like i have to keep them as straight as possible. not a gaming glove, just some supports from boots like colleen said.
