Age for a baby???

What would you consider the perfect age to have a child??

Answer #1

I disagree with the common trend of the 16-20 crowd having babies. At 18 or 19, I’m sure you think your age is perfect and ideal, but it’s not and you aren’t fully capable of realizing the damage you may be doing to the child.

I can say this as I am 26 with two children. I had my daughter and 18, and I had my son at 25.

When you are that young, you do NOT know who you are, your life is not stable, and you have so much growing to do. That poor child will be left lost and confused as he/she watches his/her parents go through many changes as they become an adult.

I am by no means saying it is impossible to raise a child at that age, I did just fine and now at 26 I own a home, I have my doctor of pharmacy, and I do okay for myself. My daughter however did suffer a bit. I don’t think she got nearly the attention and affection that my son gets now.

I’m convinced that no one should be allowed to have kids until they are at least 25. Live your life, enjoy your youth and your early twenties and don’t rush into having children. You’ll miss out on a lot and you will definitely find it a bit harder to obtain a college degree, which quite honestly… depending on what you want out of life (I sought out a home of my own and financial stability) you can’t get very far without that degree.

So while its just my opinion and I mean no offense by it, speaking from experience, I do not agree with anyone under the age of 25 having a child. You need to grow up, become a true adult and establish yourself and your life first.

Well, personally I don’t think there is a good age to become a parent but it would definately not before your 22 (no offense to anyone out there that is younger). When you’re younger you should be enjoying life without having to worry about someone else.

Other than that the perfect age would be when you’re financially secure, have a wonderfull partner and you know that a baby would make your family complete.

Answer #3

there isn’t a perfect age…when you and your partner are ready, have a good stable relationship, with a home and the couple are able to support the baby financially independently and the couple must have a realistic notion of how to produce a healthy child…

having a baby ‘early’ carries as many complications as having a baby ‘later’ in life…

I think the perfect age is when that person is ready, it’s nothing to do with how long you have lived…

I have a 9 month old beautiful baby girl. I am 19 years ol, got pregnant at 18. I was told I was way to young to have a baby, though my baby was not planned, I still think. My age was perfect. I finished school, got a good job, and am still with my boyfriend. NO im not married ( most people argue against that too ) But I think better sooner then later. 18-25 is the best time.
