Does anyone have any solutions for acne and acne scars?

Does anyone have any solutions for acne & the scars, something that works for both?

Answer #1

Firstly using substances derived from vitamin A like retin-a or tazarotene, to reduce inflammation of the skin and to unplug pores. Retin-A can cause skin reddening at first but this is quite normal as the skin’s blood supply is improved and younger looking skin begins to appear presenting a youthful complexion. Using a product that includes zinc will also help the vitamin a function better. you can find more information at http://www.nutrition4yourskin.co.uk/

I think neutrogena is the best. I tried pro activ… and it worked for like a month than i just broke out. It depends on your skin with different products

I don’t know of anything off hand, I know people with varying degrees of scarring personally, however, nobody I know has consulted a dermatologist on the topic before. For something like acne scaring, my guess is that you’d have to consult a professional b/c an over the counter cream probably won’t help.

Eg, wrinkle creams…while some sound good, I’ve yet to go buy one for my laugh lines & freckles simply b/c I can’t quite believe they’d do much (if anything at all).

If you wear makeup, a light (base? or foundation?) I guess it’s foundation, can cover / lighten or lesson the appearance of acne scars, I think.

i have been using this mask every couple of days, it has been working pretty well for me. beware, it cause some peeling about a day to a day and a half after you do it. so take a 1/2 tsp of water and mix it with 1 tsp vinegar and add 10 or more plain aspirin pills. let it sit for a few minutes then put it on your face and leave it for 10 min, then wash it off and kinda massage it into your face and put on a really good moisturizer. good luck!
