What would happen if you don't eat for 5 days?

How many pounds would you lose and I know you would be really tired and would feel sick and stuff.I’m not the one who want to do it,my friend wants to do it just to experience.She said that she knows it’s bad and the consequences and she’s really healthy by the way.It’s just an experience she wants to try.Thanks:)

It depends. I’ve fasted for 28 days before. THis is a quick how-to on fasting:

  1. Prepare a few days before by eating lots of fruits and vegetables to help clean out yourself. Drink lots of water. Don’t eat anything dense like rice, meats, flour, etc.

  2. Start your fast. Drink lots of water every day, and often. Have nothing else.

  3. The first 3 days are very, very, very VERY hard. If you get over them, you won’t feel hungry anymore. I can’t repeat this often enough. The first few days are HARD!!! You will get headaches, you will feel weak, you will feel tired, and you will feel HUNGRY!!! These days are when you need willpower more than anything else.

  4. The first week you lose water weight. The second week and onwards, you start to lose actual fat.

  5. If you feel weak, drink water with electrolytes, its a big pick-up. Rest a lot. Don’t exercise during the fast. You can do stretching.

  6. The whole process of fasting helps your body get into the state of Ketosis (look it up in wikipedia).

  7. breaking your fast is probably the most important thing. When finished, start with a few fruits like peaches (very light fruits), then over the next few days work up back to real food.

Fasting is NOT bad at all. It helped me to get rid of a bunch of health problems I had permanently. Its not a substitute for exercise and eating right though. You will lose weight, but if you don’t change your habits afterwards, you will gain it back.

I went on the Master Cleanse and I couldn’t get past the 3rd day.. I wish I had the willpower for it.. I’m hoping to get back on it again. I lost 6 pounds just during those 3 days!! And I was still getting the nutrients I needed.. I just gave in to temptation. :/
