How do you get your 11 year old daughter to act a little more more mature instead of acting so childish?

She is a child. You should let her enjoy her childhood as such.
. She will cause you enough heartache when she starts to think that she is more grown up than she really is. . Kids are great, brazen teenagers not always so - especially if you push them to behave as though they are more mature than they really are, ….. . ….. and their boyfriends start trying to treat them as though already are that mature. .

wow, im nearly 15 and still act like im 5, i want to act like a kid while i can before worrying about adults, on the other hand when i need or want to be im very mature and for the most part make good desicions, let her be a kid because when shes older your going to want her to be that little girl she used to be, dont worry about her maturing fast.. although you do need to teach her everything such as school is meant to be taken seriously, always act right in public, have manners and treat everyone with respect.

I wish I had that problem, I have a 10 yr old who thinks she is 15, I wud rather have her actin like she’s 5 instead of 15

Shes only 11 , shes not even a teenager yet ! yes you have to teach your kids respect & make sure they will be responsible & mature as adult but for right now, just let her be the kid she is

well take it from my 11 year old view, somtimes we actually do it to annoy our parents but i guess u can confront her if none of the other suggestions work. and actually i wish MY mom wouldnt act so childish!

Sometimes children act older than they are if you treat them older than they are.

at 11 she is still a child but if u really want to take her to a Holocuast Museum show her how cruel the world is and if u do u are stealling her innocence from her. u need to understand that she is just a child and that when she becomes 13 then u can ask this question.
