How many cubic feet in one yard of dirt
A: 27..

A: A yard is a linear measurement measuring distance. A cubic anything measures volume and requires three measurements. Therefore, in order to determine the volume of dirt in a space, you would need that space's length, width, and depth. "one yard" is not sufficient information to answer your question.
