yes, this is correct. there are 9 square feet in 1 square yard.
1 (square yard) = 9 square foot

How many feet per square yard?
If there are three feet per yard, how many per square yard? I think the answer is nine, but I just wanted to double check. Three by Three = nine, so you'd have nine square feet / yard. Is this right?
