My understanding, the world will end as we know it - whether a new creation or rejuvenated hard to tell - only God know when - what will happen is covered in the book of Revelation - the reason why is so those whose names are written in the 'Book of Life' (persons who have accepted salvation) will now live without any evil, pain, tears, etc...Hope this helps clarify, take care !!

This covers several questions I've seen asked here:
verse 21:1 covers what happens to earth
verse 20:10 covers what happens to the devil
verse 20:12 mentions the 'Book of Life' where those
saved names are written
verse 20:15 those names not found

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Come on now this ISN'T the RELIGION section is it??? I've said it before but I'll say it again...

The sun is halfway in its burning hydrogen to produce helium phase, which should go for another 4 billion years or so (although the sun will progressively get hotter over that time). When its core gets filled with helium it cannot fuse, the core will collapse, which will increase its temperature, up to the point helium can actually start fusing. But this will not last long, just a few million years. At that time, despite the core being smaller and more massive, the higher temperature inside will increase the sun's output, and the outer shell will expand, the sun will bloat out to a diameter about as large as the orbit Earth occupies (hence the earth will be scorched, burned, molten, vaporized) Or if a meteor big enough comes our way, it could destroy the Earth also. The surface of the Earth may be damaged by our Nuclear bombs too, but it won't end the world...It'll keep spinning.

actually people will destroy the world as we know it .with all of the advanced bombs and weapons of mass destruction.and they will only get more advanced.as to where one bomb can take out an entire country.there is no way the world will see the day when the sun will run out of hydrogen and start to expand.but I wont happen any thime soon.maybe in about 1million years or so.

It all dependes on what you belive really.. I defenatly believe that it will end when god comes back and if your names is in the book of life and have asked god into your heart you will go to heaven and you will leave the earth. Nobody knows when he could come back but it could be today or in 500 years. It is all in the book of revelations in the bible... this will happen because all the people that believe will be tooken away from all evil (the earthly people that do not beleive) because gods wants us to be pure of all evel and in heaven their is no sin...its hard to explain ...but you should start to go to a christian church if you dont already...best wishes

Actually, what the would be physicists are saying is, before the sun burns out it will explode and burn up the earth. But long before that happens all life on earth will have already become extinct. We're already working on that extinction thru global warming and other forms of pollution but no need for you to worry, you won't be around when it happens, unless you are a born again Christian. (5-10 billion years sounds about right)
But thats only a drop in the bucket compared to eternity.

The 2012 fanatics are out in force. I don't believe 99% of it; however, a digging through NASA.GOV was very scary.

Do a search of 2012 on Nasa's site.

The following will for sure occur in 2012 per NASA. The full affect is not known.

Jupiter will opposition
Venus will transition the Sun
Eros will do a flyby
Ciris will do a flyby (maybe misspelled)
The Suns magnetic poles will reverse (started already)
The worst Solar Storms ever. Solar Flares.

And Apophus 99942 will do a flyby.

The strange thing is that NASA talks about all of these separately and don't mention what the affects of all of these happening at the same time would be.

Nasa speaks of Asteroid 99942 coming close enough in 2029 for Earth's gravity to tug on it causing it to impact in 2036.

However, they do not mention the 2012 flyby except to say they can get a better look at it and can make more predictions at that time.

They don't mention what the effects of all these celestial bodies will have on Apophus. They mention how the sun will affect it and cause it to spin, but they don't say what the Solar storms affect on it will be.

Either way all of the celestial bodies intersecting at the same time will have gravitational affect on the weather and the tides. A post from someone stated gravity will not affect us, not true. The tides are affected by the moons gravity. Venus will transition between the sun and the Earth, this gravity will affect us. Eros and Ciris may not be big enough for their gravity to affect us, but will the gravity of Jupiter and Venus passing their closest to us rip them apart and shower debris on the Earth? Very possible. Asteroid 99942 will pass below the satellite orbit, not until 2029 by NASA's account. But will these celestial alignments break it up, or pull it towards us, or the moon.

The solar storms will knock out satellites and computers globally. Will the power stay on? Will the fire control computers still work?

These events could have a very dramatic impact on our ecosystem. It would be very hard to prepare yourself for such a global disruption.

As for planet X, I have found nothing on NASA's site about Planet X. This is supposed to be a Brown Dwarf Star (why you can't see it clearly) that is on an elliptical orbit around our solar system and does a flyby every so often and destroys life on Earth. There is nothing to substantiate this and could just be a guy trying to sell a book, title Planet X. His publishing company did a video to scare people into buying the book.

Nasa did however, place an Infrared Satellite (would be needed to see the brown dwarf) into orbit and is scanning our solar system with it.

Time is relative. It doesn't REALLY exist beyond your own personal experience of it. Any measurements that you do use, are arbitrary on the universal stage (I.e. time beginning and ending... or the different segments that we talk about like minutes and seconds).

Change seems to be pretty consistent, however, so things are likely going to be different later, from anybody is used to now.

Energy is always present, so there will most likely always be 'something' so I would doubt that we would have a finite end.

Armageddon:
Armageddon comes from the Hebrew word meaning 'the Mount of Megiddo.' This ancient fortress is located in northern Israel, across the Plain of Esdraelon from Nazareth. Armageddon will be the gathering place for the final great battle, which bears its name.

Yes the world will end, in 20 million years when the sun dies. Humanity could end in many ways. One with an impact of a large Metiorite.

I don't think that the Earth will ever actually cease to exist, atleast not for a sextillion years. According to the Kardashev scale Earth will become a type 2 civilization by the year 5200 A.D. To do this means that the people would have to be able to harness all of the energy of our sun. The only possible way to do this would be by making a Dyson Sphere which would enclose our entire solar system, which to the oort cloud is about a light year wide. If people can do this by the year 5200, enclosing the entire solar system, then obviously by 5 billion years when the sun becomes a red giant and and engulfs mercury, while scorching venus and earth, people would made giant satellites that are about 100 times the size of the sun during Red Giant phase. They would control this giant satellite which would be lightyears away from any galaxy, by a remote control which would propel the satellite at billions of times the speed of light. Very shortly that giant satellite 100 times the size of the Red Giant Sun, would by situated right in front of the sun. This would cause all of the planets in the solar system to start orbiting the satellite instead of the sun, because the satellite has much more gravitaional force. Then people would by remote control move the heat resistant satellite billions of times the speed of light to a distant G2 star, so that all of the planets of the solar system would be preserved, and they would orbit another new G2 star giving them 10 billion years before they would have to move their planets to another star. Even by the year 7800, which is predicted to be the year that humanity evolves into a Kardashev Type 3 civilization, which means that people would harness all of the solar energy in our milky way galaxy. The only way to do this would to be to build a Dyson Sphere around the entire 100,000 light year wide and 1,000 light year thick galaxy. The Dyson Sphere is covered with photovoltaic cells all around it to harness that energy.

In response to your message:

-In actuality the sun will become A Red Giant in 5 billon years not 20 billion years. 20 billion years is an incorrect number. At this time only the planet Mercury will be consumed by the Sun. Venus, Earth and Mars will not be consumed by the Sun. About one billon years after the Sun becomes a Red Giant it will decrease in mass to about the size of the Earth. This is called a White Dwarf. The Sun will not become a rock, it will become a White Dwarf which is a dead star. The Sun can't be a rock because, it doesn't have a surface, it is made of gas. Just because the Sun, one small Star will die in about six billion years, that doesn't mean the Universe will end. The observable Universe is composed of at least 70 sextillion stars which is 70,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars or 7 times 10^22. This number is a very low estimate of the amount of stars in our observable universe and it doesn't include stars that don't emit enough light to be seen, stars whose light has not reached the Earth yet, because light travels at only 186,000 miles per second, and light is more than 180 billion light years away. 180 billion light years is the size of the observable universe. The Entire Universe is probably at least a Boggolplex{Boggolplexated}Boggolplex Teraparsecs wide if not infinite in size. The Universe may never end.

Many people beleive that the world will be destroyed in 2012, the Viking beleived that the God of War will come down to smite the earth with his mighty war hammer in 2012, and the ancient Aztecs beleived that the great earth dragon would devour the earth in 2012. Personally, I beleive that God will rebuild the City of Heaven on Earth after the Rapture. So in that sense I guess the world be destroyed only to be reborne in glory.
