No, nobody can know when the world will end. It says so in the Bible.

No one can prove that, that date is the end of the world; no one knows. People THINK that's when the world will end, because that's the last date on the Mayan Calendar.

Jesus said we won't know it'll be a surprise.

The Bible says only God the Father knows the timing of these events.

The world will only 'end' when the sun goes super-nova. That will be millions of years away. By that time we will all be long and safely dead from other causes.

The mayan calander is the most acurate calander that has been created, but it doesn't mean the world is ending in 2012 it's just were it ends, no one knows what they were thinking when they made it, they could of thought to just stop it there and when the time came it was time to make a new one, or who knows, maybe it does mean something.

uh, the bible is actually a huge timeline. Not one part of the Bible is more significant than the other. You have to go the bible with no preconcieved ideas and piece together the verses. The bible is written in a bunch of parables, and remember that not everything in the bible is literal.
Also, God gave Noah a time of how many days it would be before he sent the flood

No there isn't. The rapture is not mentioned explicitly anywhere in the Bible. It was invented by a pastor in the 19th century based on his own interpretation of a couple verses, and it's since become all the rage in Christian eschatology.

The end of the world will come when the sun engolfs Earth that's about 5 billion years from now. Till then it will continue existing.

All it takes to give any prediction validity is to believe that it is true. Their are numerous stories of the world coming to an abrupt end and some major catastrophe is about to happen. Why worry about it, if it is going to happen then there isn't anything you or I could do change it right ? Besides where are the Mayans now, they destroyed there own civilization by sacrificing others in the belief that in doing so would keep them from harm. When in reality they brought their world to an end, from all the diseases that they caused from the rotting bodies of their victims. As for Nostradamus you can read his predictions and make out whatever you feel is the meaning to his quatrain's. There are many reasons why our world could suddenly end and prophecy aren't one them.
