Bunnies ARE trainable...I've heard they train like kitties...and with kitties, some are slower at figuring things out than others...I've never had a rabbit, so I don't know their in-born behaviors. I'm wondering tho, if he sleeps in the one you have now, is there room for two? And when you have him out of the cage, is there one you can get him into close at hand in mid-act?
There are a lot of people here with bunnies, who are way more knowledgable than I am on wabbits...the only thing I DO know, is that Yes...they ARE trainable.

I have had many rabbits and every single one was housebroken within a month. You may need to try a few different things but the main one I have used is simply (this may sound gross) taking the poop from his pooping spot and putting it where you want him to continue to go, ie. in a box or corner square. Also, what are you putting in the training box? I have found cracked corn works the best because they might like sitting in it, but it's not as comfy as newspaper or sawdust so they feel more ok about using it as a toilet.
What kind of cage is your bunny in? If the cage has a plastic bottom it should be easy to scoop up the misplaced poop and place it in his training box. If the cage has sawdust or newspaper everywhere, you might want to consider taking that out of the cage until he is housebroken.
Another weird factor to potty-training rabbits is spaying/neutering your pet. You should consider, if he isn't already, getting Onyx neutered. Male rabbits tend to mark there territory by spraying everything. Not only does neutering help suppress that desire, but it makes them a lot less likely to be aggressive around humans and other rabbits.
Hope that helps!

Why won't my bunny potty train?

Why won't my bunny potty train?
I have a Mini Rex Lionhead Rabbit,Named Onyx.
He Refuses to Potty Train, and Its really starting to aggrivate me.
In his Cage,Hes got a Potty Training box,And he wont go in it,He sleeps in it,and Goes to the bathroom in one spot, else where.
I've tried...
moving the training box in the places that he poops in but he just finds a new place to poop.
I feel bad leaving him in the cage all the time, but Whenever I take him out,he Poops everywhere.
