Where to get my credit score for free?

Is there ANY site that will give you your actual credit score (the number) for free?

Every site I've found wants money

what about freecreditreport.com... with the pirates?

I cant test it because I don't have the right information but you could try:

DO NOT GO to freecreditreport.com unless you realize that you have to sign up for a year, BUT you can cancel before 30 days are up yadda, yadda, yadda.

For a truly free report go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com
There you can get (once a year) a free report NO STRINGS ATTACHED from each of the big three reporting agencies. You can get all three at once, or spread them out and get a different one every 4 months.
NOTE: 1.)This doesn't include the SCORE - That is extra
2.) All of them will try to sell you some sort of annual package.

Another thing, Editor. Some credit cards will give you your credit score online every month. The one I have has a three week delay, I.e. it is still showing my Mar '08 score as the latest one.

Nothing WRONG with freecreditreport, except that their FREE comes with a footnote.

there are 3 different companies that give you a free credit report, if you get one from each yearly, you can get your free credit report every 4 months. one from each. and that way you have your report every 4 months, and not yearly !!

these are the companies:

1. experian
2. equifax
3. transunion

beat the system ! =)

Credit Karma gives you the equivalent of a FICO score using Transunion to figure it. Annualcreditreport.com (the official free site) doesn't give you a score, just the reports. So you use both sites in combination to get a fuller snapshot of your credit standing. Hope this helps.
