free credit report and score

I want to know my credit score without paying anything. I don’t want to be obligated to any fees, or applications, or emails. can you help?

Credit scores aren’t usually free, because the Federal Trade Commission allows credit reporting agencies to charge a nominal amount for the credit score. You can get your credit report for free from www.annualcreditreport.com.

If you want to get your credit score for free, there are several ways to get it:

  • from a lender, when you’re applying for a loan
  • from a lender who denied your credit application
  • from a credit card company whom you have a credit card with, if the company offers this privilege
  • from a credit agency with whom you signed up for a credit monitoring plan

You can find more information about that here: http://www.howtoestablishgoodcredit.com/free_fico_score.htm
