How do I make a move on my crush?

I have had a crush on this guy in school for some quite time and I know that he knows that I like him but he never made a move on me. How did he find out? I was telling one of my friends and she ended up being one of his cousins. He stares at me a lot and I don't know what to do when he does. I get really nervous and just want to runaway when I see him. I really do like him and I want to know what should I do to make a move... or should I wait for him but theres another thing he is also shy...
