No one can tell you, "what music everyone likes" because it's often a feeling that everyone likes one kind of music. I like classical.

For me I like almost everything except Disco and Country and I have a few exceptions here. Some of Blonde's disco hits aren't bad, especially Call Me and Heart of Glass. Some of the female country singers aren't bad.

I like Classical music esp Romantic era like Beethoven, Wagner, Bruckner, Mahler,

I like Be Bop Jazz, John Coltrane is my favorite though Miles Davis before he started to play fusion is a close second. I'm also into some of the Avante Guard Jazz like Sun Ra, Ornette Coleman and Art Ensemble of Chicago.

Pop music I like The Police, Sting, U2, Garbage and Seal.

When I'm driving or working I like harder music like Linkin Park, Godsmack or Korn.

Reggae (incl.-Dub, Ska, Ragga, Rock Steady-etc.-these are TYPES of reggae)
Old School Punk
Some "classic" rock
some classical
Big Band/swing
Traditional Irish
Traditional Native American
some dance/techno
folk music (old stuff-incl. folk blues-etc.)
some metal
**Here is a guy you should check out- Rory Gallagher (also his early band called Taste)...that is if youre into blues rock. But he was/is the BEST guitarist of ALL time!~~Best wishes!

Indie Pop like The Shins, Peter Bjorn And John or Jenny Lewis. Brit Pop like The Fratellis, Kaiser Chiefs or Oasis. I also like some of the 80's throw back bands like The Sounds, Maximo Park, Franz Ferdinand & The Killers.
