you have to stay with the one they give you for like 4 days.
once the swelling is down and everything you can change it.
I have my tongue pierced.
and I stay with the plastic balls.
or I also have flat ones.
if you look at my pictures I have one of a playboy bunny.
its flat against my tongue so it doesnt even touch my teeth

Yup krissy is right, you have to keep the one they pierce you with at first because it's extra long to allow for swelling. Once the swelling goes down, you'll want to change it because the length is awkward.

Once you can change it, get one with a metal bar but plastic balls. That way the balls won't harm your teeth as much as a metal one.

you need to keep the one you have for around 6 months.
tounge peircings take up to a year to heal.
even 3 months at the least, but not 4 days!!
it dosent matter, they all tend to ruin your teeth a bit, theres a lot, rom plastic, to metal.
get one that feels right in your mouth, and thats ot too heavy

Jaslovestoskate is right she has about 36 pericings so take her word alright...
It took about 4-6 months to fully heal anyone who tells you otherwise that its 4 days is Sh*t wrong...a year and it will fully start to heal and 4-6 months before you can start wearing different jewles in it...If you take it out in 4 days the whole CLOSE!!! or become infected, but it will definatly close...when you clean it you use a tissue or cotton bud you dont take it out only after 4 months...

Krissykrunk is sadly wrong!

Igot these ones that a pretty flexible the bend with your toungue and stuff they are nice, but ya the one they pierce your tongue with is 3/4 of an inch its a little bit bigger than that a regular barbell. But your tongue takes a very logn time to heal I have about 18 piercings and my tongue took the longest. I am actually a professional piercer, it takes 2-3 months on average for your tongue to be completely healed, that means scar tissue build up and everythign so sorry Krissykrunk but you are mistaken. But you can change your tongue ring as soon as 4 days, I dont recomment it I would wait 2 weeks, to change it because you dont want to rip anything.
