How to i handle being disabled from a car accident?

im 14 and recently me and my boyfriend were in a car accident know I have brachel plexus disoreder which mean from the air bag pullud out 2 nerve routes out of my spine and I have to have 4 surgerys 2 of them are major im so scared.. and its really hard...

to go through this without my dad beeing here he passed 2 years ago..

Well, just ask your doctor what the risks really are. And also just thank God that you're still alive. That the car accident didn't kill you.

Have you ever heard of Joni Erickson Tada ? I think I spelled it right.. she was a teen ager, when she broke her neck in a diving accident, and that left her completely paralyzed, from her neck down.. this is hard to even imagine.. now.. many years later.. but it did happen, and with the grace of God, she was able to deal with it, she has been able to not only cope, but, she now has a worldwide ministry, if you can imagine that !!! She will be an inspirition to you, and there are many many others, have you typed in the browser, words that will identify you, with a group of your peers, that are dealing with the same thing, or similar, for a support group? There are message boards out there that will put you in contact with others facing the same challanges...

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for this young girl, Lord, that you would comfort her, with your presence, that she would know that you are with her, that you would give her peace, instead of the fear, that she is feeling right now, remove it from her, let her sleep like a baby, and leave all the details up to you, guide the hands of the surgeons, and cause their efforts to be successful, without any complications, and let her healing come speedily. Let them be amazed, at what you are willing to do for her. Lead her in the path that she needs to be one, and deliver her from evil, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Do you have a church that you attend? Hopefully you do, and the pastor and the people will be there for you, if not, I will pray that God would put you in touch with one, where you can feel comfortable, when you are able to go.

Father, I pray that if she does not have a church family, that you would give her one, she needs the comfort and fellowship that a body of believers can offer, esp. at this very trying time in her life. Amen.

I was in a bike crash in 2005... have damaged my knee, ankle and hand and have a 8 inch scar and missing tissue on my right knee... still recovering , have been diagnosed with bipolar 2 now... never thought life would get better but it has... will never be the same as before but glad to be alive... now classed as disabled as far as work is concerned... can't do the job I done before, but still here... have my good and bad days but I'm still here for a reason... doing the best I can to get through it... keep strong and take any support that is offered.
