how do you train an 8 month old pitbull puppy to be calm and not agressive

Part of the problem is he's in his teenage stage...in other words he's tesing you, so now is the time to really set limits. Using obedience training not only builds confidence in the dog, but instills your leadership position in his eyes.

Keep in mind dogs from all breeds can be aggresive simply by their blood lines...if this dog is appearing to be aggressive towards other dogs, then he's doing what he's bred to do...if he's being aggressive to people, then there is a quirk in his lines...either way, it's imparitive that you get him under your control...and obedience training...and LOTS of exercise will help you in that.
